Learning Portal “Teaching Geography Critical of Racism.”
The research project
The teaching racism-critical geography learning portal offers (prospective) teachers and other interested parties suggestions and support for designing diversity-oriented and low-discrimination lessons. Especially in geography lessons, where teaching materials convey knowledge about other people, places, countries and cultures in texts, pictures, graphics and maps, the danger of stereotyping is particularly great and, coupled with teachers’ insufficient knowledge of racist modes of action, can also lead to the unintended marking and exclusion of students. The learning portal is divided into 4 sections:
