Originally from the environmental social sciences, I am particularly interested in human-environment relations, especially in the context of climate change and adaptation planning. I particularly like to look at these from a feminist perspective, focusing on relations of power and domination and questions of justice. In doing so, I draw a lot on work and theories from feminist political ecology, environmental justice and spatial gender studies.

In my doctoral project, I use participatory and creative methods to investigate vulnerabilities to urban heat using the city of Constance as an example. I am interested in how heat changes the everyday lives of different people, how they experience and cope with periods of heat and how these experiences are interconnected by social orders and structures.
