I became part of the working group AG KGGU through my employment as a student assistant in the Bachelor International team. One of my main tasks is the supervision of students who go abroad from Hamburg or who visit us from partner universities in European and non-European countries.
I study the Bachelor’s program Geography International at our institute. My interests lie particularly in the field of political ecology. In my final thesis I am currently working on discourses around groundwater lowering in the context of active opencast lignite mining in the border triangle Poland – Czech Republic – Germany.
Furthermore, I was involved in the implementation of the interactive learning portal “Geographie rassismuskritischer unterrichten” (Teaching Geography in a Racism-Critical Way).
I completed my professional internship at the Kultur- und Geschichtskontor Bergedorf (Hamburg). In cooperation with the history profile of the Bergedorf district school, a draft was created for a teaching unit on the history of the district with a special focus on (post)colonial references.
