Malina Niemann

Over the course of my undergraduate studies, my interests have developed particularly in the direction of postcolonial and feminist geographies. In my study project, for example, I dealt with the stigmatization and negative hegemonic attribution of the Phönix neighborhood in Hamburg-Harburg (Germany) or got to the bottom of patriarchal power relations in everyday public space within my bachelor thesis. I am also interested in critical urban studies and emotional geographies, which I plan to explore further in my master’s program. Working with critical cartography and creative artistic methods has also gained my enthusiasm in recent years.
